CFT Trainings are hands-on and practical. A great deal of treatment is exchanged during the training, giving participants lots of time to practice and feel confident about using CFT techniques. The teaching methods also incorporate sensory training for strengthening crucial right-brain awareness. Participants find it personally and professionally transforming.

FOUNDATION TRAINING

  • Students come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, looking to deepen and expand their skills and compliment other therapeutic modalities. However, no prior medical or bodywork experience is required, and many parents take the course to learn techniques to benefit their own families.

Previous CFT students have included massage therapists, dental professionals, occupational therapists, physical therapists, myofunctional therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, midwives, IBCLC professionals, parents, nurses, naturapathic and medical doctors.

    • History & theory of CFT

    • Anatomy structures of the Craniosacral Fascial System

    • How to assess the brain cycle

    • How to palpate the sacral cycle

    • How to engage fascia for global release in the body

    • Fascial release of oral structures

    • How to release the four main CFT structures

    • How to feel fascial strain patterns

    • How to feel fascia thru sensory activities

    • Proper body mechanics while performing CFT

  • Over three days, participants explore the Craniosacral Fascial system, learning gentle yet powerful techniques to facilitate fascial release.

    Day 1 8:15 - 5:15

(8:00 if you are bringing a table)

    Day 2 8:30 - 5:00

    Day 3 8:30 - 4:00

  • Tuition: $1500

Repeat student: $750 (Two available spots per Foundation. Please email us for the discount code.)

  • In the unlikely event a class has to be canceled or rescheduled, tuition fees that have been paid by the student will be refunded.

Cancellation by student prior to 30 days of the start date of class will receive a tuition refund minus 25% of tuition plus the credit card processing fee.

Cancellation by student less than 30 days prior to the start of class tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Please consider flight cancellations and delays when booking flights to allow for your on time arrival to class. CFT classes are carefully planned to ensure an optimal learning environment. We count on students to be present for the entire training.

INFANT TRAINING

  • Prerequisite: Foundation Training

This class is for professionals who want to work with the infant population or parents wishing to work on their own babies.

  • Over 3 days, the Gillespie Approach Infant Class teaches students the techniques to treat newborns and pre-crawling babies. Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) may mitigate the negative effects of fetal and birth trauma.

CFT may prevent many long term chronic conditions from appearing later in life. It promotes ideal conditions for cognitive brain function, structural cranial development and structural health.

Many infants are born with tight craniosacral fascial systems. These babies may present with conditions such as colic, reflux, constipation, nursing/latch issues, stridor, sleeping issues, asthma, earache, strabismus, torticollis, misshapen head and nervous system dysregulation. CFT may alleviate symptoms associated with these conditions by releasing fascial strain.

Tethered Oral Ties (TOTs) is a common condition that affects many infants. Tongue and Lip Ties can contribute to difficulty with suck, swallow, breath. CFT releases the restrictive fascial strain pattern that develops in fetal life associated with these ties. It is advised to have CFT before and after revisions to bring the fascia forward for an optimal release and address the deeper strain pattern.

We believe infants who have a healthy craniosacral fascial system have less risk of developing childhood conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, asthma, speech and learning disorders. The benefits of CFT may be felt by the entire family by creating a more enjoyable family environment with a happy and content baby. This healthy family dynamic flows into all areas of life.

CFT may contribute to improved infant neurological development.

CFT may maximize focus, concentration, memory, thinking, and other cognitive functions.

CFT helps children become the best version of themselves.

    The class will include:

    • lecture on birth trauma and conditions that may benefit from CFT

    • demonstrated techniques

    • ample opportunity for students to practice on babies with instructor supervision.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between CFT and CST?

People often ask what is the difference between Craniosacral Therapy (CST) and Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT)? and how does Myofascial Release (MFR) fit into the mix?

We have both studied Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Therapy as well as Myofunctional Therapy. In CST no one mentions the clinical importance of the fascial web.

If you study Tom Myers, Gil Hedley and John Barnes' brilliant teachings you’ll get a glimpse into the fascial web. We find the determining healing factor for our clients is in this web. If the fascia can be free, the clients do well with CST; if the fascia remains tight, CST has little or no effect.

We believe the fascial web appears to rule the craniosacral system. We believe that the marriage of these two great therapies, craniosacral and myofascial, into Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) is the key. We also find that CFT is profound in releasing cranio- dental strain and oral dysfunction that can contribute to a tight system.

We know there is a direct connection between the craniosacral and fascial systems because a research study showed that cerebrospinal fluid was found in the collagen tubules. In essence, we strive for maximum clinical results because we are treating the entire craniosacral fascial system.

We find that if we truly listen closely to full-body strain patterns, we obtain the best results.

We find that each human holds the emotional and physical memories from in utero, and delivery traumas and knows innately knows how to heal themselves. When the fascial web is fully released, the cranial bones and sacrum amazingly seem to correct on their own.

  • Each state has varying requirements for a license to touch. It also may depend upon your profession. Please check with your state and professional boards so you have the proper license to use CFT in your business practice. You do not need a license if you will be working with family and friends on a voluntary basis.

  • We do not have a list of practitioners. We are working on a curated directory.
